| 4 years ago (2004) to this weekend, I rode my motor cycle to Swan Hill from Melbourne with my son in law in 44degrees Celsius. That was a 4 - 5 hour ride.
This weekend I rode from Perth to Albany and back (0530 - 1230 = 7 hours) with the same company as above. We stopped in one country town for breakfast and joined the locals in a free Australia Day breakfast. The temperature was pleasantly cool en route and progressively hotter on the return trip - about 32Deg C. It was about 1140Km for me.
It was an action packed weekend away which included fishing, sea biscuiting (rubber tubes towed by a boat), kangaroo and fox shooting in addition to the ride. We shot 15 roos and 6 foxes, and we hit a roo with the ute on the way home, didn't even slow down. I was the gate opener for the shooting trip, it took me back a few years to farming days. We travelled about 70kms to the 900 acre farm. I have never seen so much wild life on one farm. We went to this particular farm expecting to see a white kangaroo and we did, a big one. The shooter would not shoot it as they are very rare. We got home again at about 0230am slept until 0745am then rode back to Perth via Denmark Walpole, Manjimup (breakfast), Donnybrook, Harvey and Pinjarra. Finally arriving back in Perth at about 1700Hrs. I took no photos, we travelled light - no camera.

| Almost everyone in Perth was here on the day. It was great once we got there.
